National BBQ Month
Celebrate National BBQ month with some of our favorite grilling essentials. From mild to hot or sweet to savory, these sauces and rubs will turn up the flavor and wow your friends and family. Try any or all this season:

Lillie’s Q Sauces - Carolina BBQ Sauce & Carolina Gold Sauce
Each of the Lillie’s Q line up of sauces pay homage to a specific southern region. This season we are loving the Carolina and the Carolina Gold. The tangy flavors of the Carolina Sauce bring a Western Carolina style sauce with the zing of tomato and vinegar. It is perfect with chicken, steak, seafood or veggies. The mustard base, gives the Carolina Gold its golden color. A bit of pepper makes Gold the perfect match for pork and chicken or even as a dip for chicken and roasted potatoes. Try any of our other Lillie’s Q sauces such as Hot and Smokey, Hot Pepper Vinegar or the Ivory BBQ sauce.

Bourbon Barrel Worcestershire Sauce
This unique take on a traditional all-purpose seasoning is hand crafted in small batches. It's sweetened with sorghum, blended with pure Kentucky limestone spring water, and mellowed in bourbon barrels that were used to age some of the Bluegrass State's finest Bourbons. It is all-natural and vegetarian, as it contains no anchovies. This sauce is the perfect accompaniment to steak and chicken or as an addition to any marinade. TASTE’s Executive Chef, Thomas Yager, recommends using Worcestershire when grilling up burgers.

Woodford Reserve Chef’s Spice Blend
Elevate your next grilled meat by using this spice blend. It combines three Woodford Reserve spices and hits all of the smoky notes created by bourbon barrels. This spice blend is great as a simple meat rub, sprinkled on top of turkey burgers, or even over a fried egg.

Vivian Howard’s Blueberry BBQ Sauce
This finishing sauce is in the spirit of the Eastern North Carolina vinegar-based barbeque with a fruity twist. The blueberries give a traditional BBQ recipe something different. This sauce will complement anything that comes off the grill, especially chicken. Vivian Howard, from PBS’s A Chef’s Life, recommends also using it as the base for a vinaigrette or in cocktails that call for a fruit shrub. Be on the lookout for the new Vivian Howard BBQ products that will arrive at TASTE in the early summer.

Ernest Hemingway The Hunt Grilling Sauce
An all-around great grilling sauce this classic is perfectly suited to use as a marinade, dipping sauce or finishing sauce. With a sweet flavor on the front and a little bite on the back, The Hunt is super versatile and is great on meat, poultry, seafood or even veggies.
